It is the position of Grenadier Management that markets are efficient over long durations. That being said, there are conditions that historically present themselves where the value of markets and the price of securities become dislocated from their underlying inherent or fair value. Assets are worth what one party is willing to pay for them, and that value is sometimes arbitrary. This quirk of market behavior generates conditions when so called price dislocation can be exploited for investment gain. The Grenadier methodology identifies potential opportunities using rules-based quantified analysis.
